Biographical Sketch
Ludwig Gebhard is a Bavarian painter and graphic artist born in 1933 in Tiefenbach,
Oberpfalz, and works in Munich.
He studied painting and graphic art at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts under Ernst Geitlinger.
Gebhard works as a
freelance painter, graphic artist and sculptor. He has been exhibiting both nationally and
internationally since 1961 and
has received several awards. Many of his works, characterized by a design-oriented, abstract
aesthetic, and a
constructive, purist design, can be found in museums and private collections. ek
