Promising young artists in the sphere of the old master Miró were encouraged to create and often supported by Miró himself. The Spaniard Pep Canyellas, born on Mallorca and still working there today, was a part of this group of young artists. There is as yet little published on Pep Canyellas, therefore it is impossible to provide an overview of his work. It is therefore the more rewarding to get to know an artist from the Mediterranean through these graphic prints, which demonstrate his blithe portrayal skills. ek
