Albert Gonzalo

Biographical Sketch

A Catalan painter of the younger generation, Gonzalo was born in 1954 in Tarragona. His work has been printed at several publishing houses: Editorial Canarias (1993), Arte Castellana and Editorial Santiago Compostela (1989) as well as in a catalogue by the Sala Gaspar Gallery of Barcelona, which showed Gonzalo's work in 1986 and 1996. Another exhibit also took place in 1996 at the Museum van der Togt, in Amstelveen, Netherlands. His work has been shown in many galleries in Spain and abroad since 1976. Most of his works show his travel impressions, as can be deduced from the following titles: 'Descripción del Egipto', 'Descripciones orientales' or 'Africa de seda sobre papel', 'Harem des Houris' and 'Miniaturas de un sultanato'. He has also created entire graphic series on music and literature. ek
