Dialogue with Tibet |
Gonzalo succeeds in fusing several different time periods together, to see them all at once. To see them is also to protect them. Tibet is a topic in and of itself. Its understanding of cultures is global. Tibet, land of great suffering, appears here like a
dove's tower of spiritual peace: 'Dialogue
with Tibet'. In this lithograph, dark blue night breaks over
Lhasa - behind the monastery, the ice-blue mountains. Before the white
banners of greeting and a light pink, a dragon-like, dark, linear shape
moves in calligraphic brush strokes. The print seems as spontaneous
as a painting, printing to the very edges of the paper. ek
